Overview
To help the nation see that fairness doesn’t compromise on coverage, we blindfolded them.
New Zealand’s top three telecommunication providers utilise the same cell towers, allowing them all to claim 98.5% population coverage. Despite this obvious similarity, there are lagging perceptions that the 2degrees network isn’t as strong.
2degrees Mobile launched Blind Network Testing, a new tongue-in-cheek test format that helps people see the similarities in network coverage by blindfolding them.
Inspired by blind taste testing, our scientific method challenges people to make two calls from the exact same place at the exact same time. The challenge is to spot the difference between networks, which is ludicrous not just because they’re blindfolded, but because NZ’s best networks basically are all the same.
