Telecos have always sold themselves as a way to connect us. Yet with every new app or gadget we seem to be more and more distracted from each other.
Finding a balance between the digital world and the real world has become increasingly more difficult. Billions of dollars are spent making sure every ‘ping’ is as alluring and addictive as possible, the little guy doesn’t stand a chance. It’s no wonder we are all suffering unprecedented levels of anxiety and stress. We never get to switch off. That hardly seems fair.
So we helped 2degrees, New Zealand’s fairest Telco to aide people in finding balance again. By rewarding them for switching off their phones. Yup, you read that right. A telco telling people to hang up their phones. At least for a bit.
