Putting NZ on Patrol
Age Concern & ANZ Partnership
Overview
Bringing old-school justice to modern-day scams.
According to a recent ANZ survey*, 80% of Kiwis aged over 65 believe that older people can be too kind and trusting for their own good.
To empower seniors to stay ‘on patrol’ against scammers, we launched an innovative scam prevention campaign featuring the return of the beloved 1980s cop drama CHiPs.
Working with Warner Brothers, we licensed and reviewed over 100 CHiPs episodes, then re-edited and reworked the original footage into new micro storylines to deliver clear and concise messages about modern-day scams.
Rebooting CHiPs has created an entertaining, nostalgic, and familiar series that resonates with older New Zealanders, while also reminding them that they have the right to hang up, say no, and reject calls, texts, and emails from people they don’t know.
